"I am a pretty simple digital scrapbooker. What I really love to do is use digital journal blocks, add my text, and print on cardstock to be used on paper pages. I want to give people simple, lovely products to help them tell their stories more completely."

We have more information coming from Ali Edwards in the next few weeks but wanted to take the time to introduce a very special person that has a very special Valentine's Day treat for all of us. Shelleyrae Cusbert has created a card, a quickpage and and a mini-kit for us with a lovely romantic theme. Christmas has come and gone so we need to do something with all those wonderful photos we took. Kirsty Wisemanhas created a cute square plopper page called "Merry Kissmas" for you to drop your favorite holiday memories into. All you need to do is download the file below and use a program like Photoshop Elements to add your own photos and journaling to the page. You can print the page at home or have the square page printed at Shutterfly. The page can be added to a scrapbook album, displayed on the wall, or could even be added to a Shutterfly photobook. There are a ton of options out there for utilizing your creations!

It is the New Year---Welcome 2010! There is really no better way to ring in 2010 then making a "Scrapolution!" (Ok, that is my crazy, made-up word meaning "How many layouts / photobooks am I going to create in the year?"
Setting a goal always helps me focus on what I've done in the past and what I can look forward to accomplishing in the future. If you haven't ever created a Shutterfly photobook before than perhaps your goal is to organize and create your first book in 2010. The goal doesn't have to be huge but just a step in keeping your photos organized and your artistic juices flowing.
I have set a personal "Scrapolution" of creating 12 photobooks this year. Some I will use scrapbook pages to create and others I will use the templates provided at Shutterfly. That is 1 a month, a bit lofty for my but I feel inspired. (after all, it's only January 1st!)
Please feel free to share your "Scrapolution" in the comment area. It is always inspiring to hear what others have planned for the year when it comes to creating layouts and photobooks.

It is an adorable recipe template that will assist you in making an incredible recipe book in no time flat. (Maybe a family keepsake recipe book, a class recipe book for the teacher, or even a book of recipes for the bride to be) Whatever you choose, it is sure to turn out beautiful with this template.

Kim Gehring from PixelGypsyDesigns has a solution for all of those cute Halloween photos that you now have developed and want to scrapbook. She has provided us with the a darling mini kit called "My Little Ghoul." You can download the files and create layouts in Photoshop or other similar software programs. Savannah Brentnall, owner of savannahscrapbooks shares a New Year's resolution:
"My resolution for 2008 is to scrap more of my own photos. As a scrapper-for-hire, I spend most of my time scrapping other people's memories. While I'm glad my hobby-turned-business has taken off and people like my work, I'm finding that I'm getting more and more behind on my own scrapping. Somehow, time spent on my own layouts seems hard to justify when it means less billable time to spend on client projects. In 2008, I resolve to assign as much importance to my own memories as I do to those of my clients. After all, that's what made me start scrapping in the first place. 2008: The year of balance!"
Kate Teague, Two Peas Garden Girl, shares a New Year's resolution:
"This year as I had all of my layouts printed into books for gifts I realized that I am not present in near enough of my pages. I am writing down my daughter’s life story but am often forgetting to write my family story. For this next year, one of my goals is to get in front of the camera more and to make more pages that include me. I am in some of my pages, but I know that I would have loved to have some of my Mom’s thoughts in a book about being a new mother and the trials and tribulations of motherhood."

2007 is coming to a close and I have been watching family , friends , media, and myself all take a considerable amount of time to REFLECT upon the past year. Reflecting is an amazing tool for memorializing, documenting, and remembering good times, trials, events, and other activities that have taken place in your life for the year.
It is an absolutely perfect time to create a 2007 photo book for yourself, your family, and your friends. It is also the perfect time to resolve to kick off 2008 with taking the time to document life and to photo book events on a more regular basis. Whether that means digitally scrapping each layout with great detail or creating a photo book with a template set, it all compiles into a very comprehensive reflection of your life.
Our Holiday Blog has been a great way to share inspiration and fun with all of you. It has been a wonderful 3 months and we are excited to say that our blog is not going away. Over the next few weeks we will be making some exciting changes. The blog will continue to have inspiration, information, freebies, and fun. We encourage you to please check back often for continued unique, fun,and inspirational information and to watch the transition take place.
