Here is a bit about her.
Tell us about yourself.
"I am a work-at-home mother of two cute and clever kids, and a wife to a supportive hard-working and fun-loving husband. We live in the midwest where we enjoy the change of seasons and cherish time spent with our family. When I'm not busy with taking care of our family, I like to spend every spare moment being creative. I can happily blame this on my mom! As I was growing up, I was creatively influenced by her very artistic talents. Not only was she an art teacher, but she also created artwork at home and other fun sewing and crafty projects. I continue to admire her art, and proudly display it in my home. I believe that the apple doesn't fall too far from the tree. I have always considered myself a person that wears many hats. Not only am I a mother, wife and designer, I'm also a crafty girl, a doodler, a seamstress, a soccer and basketball mom, a girl scout leader, a bargain hunter, a travel lover, a dreamer, a talker and a listener, a jokester, a volunteer, a kid-taxi driver, a dollhouse builder, a knick knack liker, a creative mess maker, a seasonal decorator, a book lover, a great baker and a bad chef, a fun time creator, a picture taker and a memory maker. Oh, and I love pink and polka dots. :)"
Tell us about your digi-scrap background.
"I am a designer by trade and have been creating graphics and textile designs digitally since 1992, developing art with the aid of the computer. My first steps to learning digital scrapbooking came in the form of that work experience. However, I "officially" started digital scrapbooking in the fall of 2005, after having children and starting to scrapbook their life experiences. I started with creating my own word art for paper scrapping and adding simple text to my photos with PSE. Shortly thereafter, I discovered that others were doing the same thing and calling it..."digital scrapbooking!" I was so thrilled to learn about this media as a form of scrapbooking, I pretty much walked away from traditional paper scrapping (although I do love to create hybrid projects.) I discovered Scrap Girls through a search for "free fonts" and was excited to learn that they were looking for designers. I was hopeful that I could translate my knowledge of textile pattern design and experience with computer aided design into creating my own digital scrapbooking products. I quickly started searching for ways to make my own embellishments, learned as much and as quickly as I could about digital. All that hard work and research paid off, I started designing digital scrapbooking products in March 2006 and have enjoyed creating ever since!"
