What cool, fun, funky project are you working on right now?
"I am enjoying all of the new hybrid books the digital shoppes, including GMD, are offering. I just picked up a Xyron machine so I am looking forward to adhering the digital prints to chipboard without the load of Mod Podge glue on my dining room table! And I also have some cute kiddie craft ideas for this Summer and end-of-school teacher gifts."

What is your creative style?
"I guess you could say eclectic, with lots of color thrown in for good measure! I love to try new techniques & sample different designers and products. I try to dabble in everything but at the end of the day, if you look at my gallery, you'll always find a good amount of vivid color."

How long have you been scrapbooking?
"Since childhood. But I didn't start scrapping with the proper tools and all of the fancy equipment until my daughter Emily was born. That was August 2003."
Who or what inspires you most?
"Clothing inspires me (which works out well since I do love to shop! LOL) I love looking at dress patterns and color combos of kiddie outfits especially. A nice piece of art helps inspire me. And I always feel like scrapping (or designing) after I flip through a scrap mag or browse some of the on-line galleries."

Tell us about yourself.
"My name is Gina and I am a stay-at-home-mom to a Prince and a Princess with one baby on the way (Fall '08!) My husband is my brave firefighter and we live in a cute lil' house with our mischievous Puggle, Sadie. I have my degree in Fashion Design so there's always been some form of art & design running through my veins. I started scrapbooking as a child, switched to "safe scrapping" when my daughter was a newborn and about a year and a half later, stumbled upon digital. It didn't take long for me to have the urge to design my own papers & elements so I started selling my designs pretty soon after that. And in July 2006, I opened the doors to my very own shoppe; GinaMillerDesigns."

Share a favorite digital technique that you love to use.
"I love love love layer masks and brushes. So many possibilities. Add the layer mask to a photo layer and then select the paint brush from the tools palette. Toggle the fore- and background colors from black to white to erase or paint back in respectively areas of the image using a brush. This is the best way to create the blended photo look."
Do you have any digital tutorials on your site that you want to share?

What is your creative style?
"That’s a good question. It’s in constant evolution. I like clean and graphic, the artistic blending of photo collage or montage and lately I’ve been getting into dimensional digital scrapbooking embellishments. I really don’t think there is a right or a wrong way to scrapbook and I think my scrapbooking style at any point in time is a reflection of my life and how I am feeling in that moment about the subject I am scrapbooking."
What is your favorite piece of technology (i.e. Your camera, your computer, your scanner?) and why?
"That’s a tough one. I couldn’t possibly live without my computer but then my camera is equally important. I would have to say my iphone as I can check my email, listen to music, surf the net and take photos all on the go. That said, I also love my latest little gadget The Flip (www.theflip.com)."

We are so excited to have incredible designer, extraordinary artist, and prized Shutterfly SAT member Anna Aspnes here with us as the featured artist. She shares her bio with us today.
"I am a UK native, soon to be Denver (Colorado) resident currently in Alaska, and military spouse with the United States Air Force. My dad was in Royal Air Force and so I spent most of my early life in Germany and from the age of 10 attended a private boarding school in England. College followed and after graduating with a major in German language and literature my globe-trotting lifestyle continued. I have been an English teacher in Austria, worked as a liaison between the British Forces and the German Media and was a key figure in the launch of a British software company in the Washington DC area, though I always had a burning desire to be a fashion designer.
My husband’s re-assignment to a remote USAF air base in Japan in 2002 shifted my focus from work to family and it was the arrival of Ella (5) and Luke (3) that prompted my discovery of digital scrapbooking. I have fond memories of keeping scrapbooks as a child but it didn’t quite suit my life-style as a new Mum. The greatest appeal of Digital Scrapbooking, aside from the no mess, sprawling supplies and cost, is and has always been that I am able to take scrapbooking to the next level with digital tools and create pages that just cannot be done with paper alone. A hobby quickly turned into a career in which I have been fortunate to be able to teach and design. My digital scrapbooking supplies can be found at Designer Digitals. I am currently a Contributing Editor to Digital Scrapbooking Magazine."
