The last month has been full of exciting news on the digital forefront. I thought I would share part of the press release from PMA/Memory Trends 2008 that details the new Shutterfly / CK Media relationship and the great products that were formed from the relationship.
"LAS VEGAS, Jan 31, 2008 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Shutterfly, Inc. (NASDAQ:SFLY), the leading Internet-based social expression and personal publishing service, today announced at the PMA 08 International Convention and Trade Show that it has partnered with CK Media, the leading content provider and community resource for scrapbooking, paper crafting, quilting and sewing, to deliver an exclusive line of products and services targeted at introducing photo books to traditional scrapbookers. Shutterfly will expand its industry-leading photo book line with new photo books designed by Creating Keepsakes celebrity designers; a new online resource to inspire photo book creativity; and classes introducing the flexibility of photo booking for Creating Keepsakes University participants.
"We chose to partner with Shutterfly because they are dedicated to helping people tell their stories through innovation and ease of use. This partnership allows us to reach the industry leading photo book community to share our celebrity scrapbook designers' approach to storytelling," said Chad Phelps, Vice President of Online for Creating Keepsakes. "We can also use inspiration and education to bring our diverse print, online and events audience of scrapbookers to Shutterfly."
The strategic partnership consists of:
-- Eight new photo books designed by Creating Keepsakes celebrity designers, with the first two from Ali Edwards and Jessica Sprague.
-- An online destination available at www.shutterfly.com/inspire offering inspiration and support to guide scrapbookers through the creation of photo books.
-- Classes taught through Creating Keepsakes University (CKU) and CK Conventions (CKC) that introduce scrapbookers to Shutterfly's online photo books and digital scrapbooking print solutions.
"Together with CK Media, we're presenting an innovative and inspirational solution for introducing the online convenience of photo books to the millions of people who scrapbook," said Kathryn Olson, chief marketing officer of Shutterfly.
By joining forces with CK Media, Shutterfly builds upon its commitment to the scrapbooking community, which began with Shutterfly's industry-leading printing solutions for digital scrapbookers and the formation of the Shutterfly Scrapbooking Advisory Board.

Pretty exciting stuff! We also released a new public gallery where you can post and share your Shutterfly books. Lucky for us there is a complete section just for scrapbookers. We would love for you to check it out, leave comments at the gallery, and of course share a book or two yourself!
Until next post...................Alicia
