"My husband, Carson, and I live in Pennsylvania where we own and operate a landscaping company. We raised four daughters (can you spell D-R-A-M-A) and our family has now grown to include two sons-in-law, two grandsons, one granddaughter, and a fourth grandson due this year. Throw into the mix one chihuahua, one miniature dachshund, and one ornery, orange tabby cat, and you know that my home is anything but quiet. But, I wouldn’t have it any other way!
I discovered digital scrapbooking and Scrap Girls in May 2007 while looking online for scrapbooking supplies. It was a match made in heaven! I joined the product design team at Scrap Girls in July of 2009. Through digital scrapbooking, I have met amazing individuals and formed life long friendships. One of my biggest thrills was meeting many of those people at the Scrap Girls’ conventions held in Salt Lake City over the last several years. My hope is that my designs will spark the artistic flame in others and help them create lasting memories for future generations. When not designing and scrapping, I love to watch movies (but only with a happy ending), read, cook, drink coffee and spend time with my family.
Digital Scrapbooking background: I happened upon Scrap Girls while doing a computer search for paper scrapbooking supplies. I was fascinated with the possibilities digital scrapbooking presented. I downloaded a trial copy of Photoshop Elements software and purchased Ro’s Scrapbook Software Secrets Revealed: Photoshop Elements. Within hours, I had completed my first digital scrapbooking layout! I was so proud of myself. The Scrap Girl messageboard was a great source of information and the members were so friendly and helpful. I also registered for classes offered in the Scrap Girls’ University. Eventually, I joined the Scrap Girls’ Layout Artist team. Finally, I began experimenting with creating my own designs, applied to the Scrap Girls’ Product Design team, and was accepted as a product designer. I love my job and the people on my team! I try to learn a new skill or try a new technique with every collection I design. The best piece of advice I can give to anyone is just play, have fun and ask questions. Scrap Girls is a great place to learn digital scrapbooking."
