Mindy Terasawa , digital artist from DesignerDigitals has created a fun kit to help us celebrate the new year. I think you all will enjoy the colorful and uplifting kit. Today we will share the paper set.
" I am inspired by just about anything that caught my eyes. It could be shoes, someone's purse I saw walking down the street. I buy tons of magazine greeting cards, and wrapping papers. Not only are they pretty but they are useful! I am stock up with greeting cards from mother's day to Christmas and just random stuff."
Here is a layout created by Mindy. It certainly reflects a very memorable "everyday celebration" in Mindy's life! Enjoy!
We welcome Mindy Terasawa , digital artist from DesignerDigitals . We are so thrilled to have her talent and inspiration with us for the next week or so.
Lets start right off by getting to know a bit about who she is and where you can find her products.
Tell us about yourself.
" I live in Southern California with my husband and two kids Justin and Ashlyn. I am currently 29 and will be 30 in February. I enjoy designing, cosmetics, movies and just hanging out with my kids."
Tell us about the site you are associated with.
"The site I am at, Designer Digital is such a wonderful site to be with. Everyone is so easy and fun to talk to and easy deal with. We NEVER have drama at Designer Digital and we are always there to help each other out.
How long have you been scrapbooking?
"I have been scrapbooking on and off for 7 years."
It has been a wild and crazy last few months. Wrapping the holiday season up properly never really happens the way I had intended. This year I am proud to say that I used Shutterfly to help me show that last little gesture of thanks to our family and friends. The card below was made within minutes at Shutterfly and is truly something I know our family and friends will hold onto throughout the new year. I had 25 cards printed and will be sending them out this week. It was a personal and affordable thank you!(the card below shows off my 3 little boys with their brand new holiday labradoodle!--a moment our family won't be forgetting soon!)
"I’d have to say I’m still finding it. But I must say I really love doing richly decorative papers and ornate elements. Some would say my work has a vintage feel and I suppose that’s somewhat true. But I do like to mix it up every once in a while."
What endearing project are you working on right now?
"Digiscrap Boutique is celebrating it’s second birthday in January so I am in the midst of planning a few exciting events as well as launching some new products."
Hope everyone checks out the birthday sale this month at Digiscrap Boutique. Please make sure you share with us in the comment area what you snagged and what you created with it! We love to get inspiration from our readers!
What is your favorite piece of technology (ie. Your camera, your computer, your scanner?) and why?
"Do I have to choose just one? I sure hope not. I LOVE my pc of course without it I’d get no work done. But just as much I love my Wacom Tablet. Each day it becomes more and more an integral part of my designing. And of course my Nikon. I have the D40x and I love it! I use it a lot in my business for creating stock photos and capturing everyday images for use in my kits."
Where do you hang out on-line?
" I’m a big fan of Hulu.com My favorite thing to watch there is Monk. Unfortunately I can’t work and watch at the same time. I also hang out at Sirius.com checking out the radio shows. Mostly Hip Hop as it’s my life’s blood."
Veronica shares a great quickpage below. The quickpage is in perfect square Shutterfly size so that you can add your own photos and journaling and then have it printed as a square print at Shutterfly. Please remember that all freebies are for personal use only.
