Happy Mother's Day : It's a Momtourage
It is Mother's Day so we thought it would be fun to do something a little different but very special to help celebrate the event. We have asked the WeAreStorytellers site to be our feature for the next couple of weeks. We will get a snippit view of a great group of designers and will be blessed with a collaborative kit called "Momtourage" that they have put together for us. So, let's get started with our first designer from WeAreStorytellers .
Welcome Emily Powers , designer and artist at WeAreStorytellers.
Tell us about yourself.
"I'm a wife, a mommy, an artist, photographer and writer. I love flip-flops, iced tea, a good book and my three dogs."
How long have you been scrapbooking?
"I started digital scrapbooking in january of 2006, but i've been scrapbooking, in one form or another, since high school."
What is your creative style?
"Eclectic and artsy."
Who or what inspires you most?
"I'm most inspired by my family...particularly my husband and daughter. Matt is my heartbeat; his gentle strength and unwavering support of my dreams is a precious gift. We're high school sweethearts and we've been best friends since the 10th grade. It's inspiring to wake up to your soul mate every day. My daughter, Addelyne, is two-and-a-half. Every moment is an adventure. Every word exudes creativity. Last week she said, "mom i want tacos and marshmallows for dinner!" only a genius could put that combination together?
